This is a 1990 vintage from the Imperial distillery, matured in American oak barrels. It was bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration. The nose is rich, with blackcurrant jam, orange marmalade, vanilla fudge, liquorice and walnut. On the palate, juicy redcurrants mingle with ginger, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish is sweet and gently spiced.
