Liquorice Shot is a herbal liqueur from the Old St. Croix Pharmacy range of A.H. Riise, made on a base of vodka.
The flavour is meant to recall old-fashioned liquorice. It opens with a note of rusty nails, followed by generous amounts of English liquorice, and closes with a touch of salmiak that is present without being overpowering.
It is served cold and neat, and also works poured over home-made soft-serve ice cream.
