A.H. Riise Pharmacy 1838 Bitter is a bitter from the A.H. Riise Pharmacy series, which honours the A.H. Riise Apothecary Hall, founded in 1838. Bitters were once an everyday part of the apothecary's work, used for stomach complaints, headaches and poor digestion.
It contains extracts of galangal root, ginger, bitter orange, curaçao peel and cardamom, which give it a refined aroma and flavour. It is intended as a morning bitter, or as a warming drink after time spent outdoors.
