A. Overholt Monongahela Mash Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl)

A straight rye whiskey from A. Overholt, a name that dates back to 1810 and is recognised as America's oldest continually maintained rye. It is made today under James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Kentucky and sold in a 75cl bottle. This first release of A. Overholt uses a Monongahela Mash, a nod to the farmer-distillers of the Monongahela Valley, who grew the rye behind early American whiskey and its robust, warmly spiced flavour. The bottle still carries a portrait of founder Abraham Overholt. It is full-bodied, balancing black pepper, spice, coffee, char and deep, dark fruits.
