Aalborg Krone Akvavit (70cl, 40%)

Aalborg Krone Akvavit is a golden Danish-style akvavit launched in the autumn of 1990. It is made from a distillate of dill, caraway seed and lemon peel, adjusted with an extract of American white oak. Coriander and caraway lead the flavour, with citrus, liquorice, wood, cardamom and allspice, and a discreet hint of black pepper in the aftertaste. It is a good match for traditional Danish food with robust sauces and hearty dishes, and particularly for fish and veal. It also goes well with gravlax.
