Aberargie Expressions Laureate is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky made entirely from Laureate barley, a modern variety grown on Aberargie's own family farm in Perthshire. It belongs to a range that looks at how a single barley variety shapes the whisky.
The spirit was matured in a mix of 68% first-fill sherry and 32% first-fill bourbon casks, and bottled at 48.2% ABV without chill filtration.
The nose offers candied orange peel, dried fruit and ripe orchard fruit. The palate is fruity and elegant with a clear structure, and the finish is long, honeyed and gently spicy, with oak.
