This Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is a single cask Highland single malt from independent bottler Tri Carragh, bottled at 55.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was aged for 12 years in an STR hogshead, and 247 bottles have been released. It is described as soft, fruity and relaxed, with gentle spices.
The nose brings strawberries, banana, mango and raspberry ripple ice-cream, while the palate offers lychee, mango, green cardamom and Chinese five spice. With water, the nose moves towards yellow melon and pear, and the palate shows soft red fruits with subtler spice. The finish is medium.
