Aberfeldy 12 Years is a single malt from the Aberfeldy distillery in Perthshire, founded in 1896 by the brothers Thomas Robert and John Alexander Dewar. It sits on high ground above the River Tay.
The whisky is matured for 12 years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon.
The nose brings fruit preserve, honey, sweet tobacco, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate it is rounded, velvety and soft, almost sweet, with bitter orange, ginger and pepper.
