This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, part of the Wine Cask Series and a limited edition. It is finished in red wine casks from Bolgheri in Tuscany and bottled at 46% in a 700ml bottle. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour.
The nose combines dark fruits, chocolate and vanilla with Aberfeldy's honey notes. On the palate come dark cherries, juicy plums, dark chocolate with vanilla and a hint of nutmeg, followed by a lingering touch of soft oak.
