Aberfeldy – 15 Year Old (75cl, 43%)

Aberfeldy – 15 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Aberfeldy (Highland). Aged 15 years, bottled at 43% ABV, 75cl. A rare early official bottling of Aberfeldy 15 year old from the 1980s. United Distillers experimented over the years with releasing single malts from some of its lesser-known distilleries and this Aberfeldy was one of those. It is clear that this release became an inspiration for the Flora & Fauna series in the 1990s as it followed a very similar aesthetic. Located in the Highland Perthshire town of the same name, Aberfeldy distillery was built in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons to provide whisky for their various blended Scotch brands. It is still run by the same company, which today operates as the Scotch whisky division of Bacardi Limited.
