This is a 16 year old single malt from Aberfeldy Distillery, in the village of Aberfeldy in Perthshire, at the foot of the Central Highlands. The distillery draws its water from the Pitilie Burn.
After 16 years in oak, the whisky is finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks, which add a subtle fruitiness and a rounder body. Aberfeldy is known as the 'Golden Dram', and its character is described as honey, spice and citrus with hints of vanilla.
