Aberfeldy 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Perthshire, in a 70cl bottle. It spent 16 years maturing in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose leans towards acacia honey, in keeping with the honeyed character associated with the distillery, alongside dried apricots and plums, with cinnamon and vanilla.
The palate is soft and silky, with baked apple, toffee and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and warm, carrying sweet spice and a delicate woody note.
