Aberfeldy 18 Year Old Finished in Tuscan Red Wine Casks is a Highland single malt at 43% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It is a limited edition from 2022, the fourth cask finish in the distillery's Red Wine Cask Collection, selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod.
After 18 years in oak, the whisky was finished in red wine casks from Bolgheri, Tuscany, which give it a ruby hue.
The nose offers cherry, frangipane, vanilla and oak spice over a honeyed core. On the palate come cherry, sweet vanilla, green pepper and a zing of lime, and the finish is long, with cherry and frangipane fading into warm oak spice.
