A single cask 13 year old Aberfeldy from the Highlands, bottled by Rare Find at 56.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 16th August 2011 and matured in a refill hogshead, cask 8892, before being bottled in 2024. The outturn was 296 bottles.
The refill cask supported the spirit rather than reshaping it, leaving orchard fruit, malt sweetness and gentle spice at the centre of the whisky.
The nose shows orchard fruits, jelly sweets and vanilla. The palate is oily, with toffee apple, syrupy fruit salad and ground cinnamon, and the finish is long, fruity and sweet.
