Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 75cl bottle, matured for 21 years in a combination of ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon oak casks.
The long time in oak adds richness, and the wood has influence without overwhelming the whisky. It is supple and creamy on the palate.
The palate is described as heather honey, macadamia nuts, beeswax, orange, dried fruits, toasted coconut and silky oat with a trace of smoke, alongside dark cacao, tobacco spice and black cherries.
