It belongs to the Exceptional Cask Series, a range of single-cask, double-cask and small-batch bottlings chosen by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod. The red wine finish shapes the character of the whisky, and the series is bottled in small quantities. The nose is described as a rich mix of red berries and ripe plum, with delicate vanilla, toasted oak, subtle herbal notes and the nuttiness of almonds. A touch of dark chocolate comes at the end.
