Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt matured in two types of cask: traditional oak and Sherry oak. The casks are selected each year, filled and aged for at least twelve years, then married together. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The traditional oak lets Aberlour's subtle character develop, while the Sherry oak adds a ruby gold tint and a deeper, richer flavour. The whisky is described as balanced, with notes of fruit and spices.
