Aberlour 12 Years Old is a single malt from Speyside in Scotland, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for 12 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks and has an amber colour with golden glints.
The nose brings ripe fruit such as plums and caramelised apples, with chocolate and delicate spice, while the oak adds vanilla and honey. The palate is soft and velvety, with dark fruit, dark chocolate and sweet spices including cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and warm, with a hint of walnut and smoky wood.
