Aberlour 14 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40%, from Batch 0002. Part of the spirit matures in American oak bourbon casks and part in Oloroso sherry casks, and the two are then brought together to marry.
The bourbon casks contribute vanilla, caramel and light wood notes, while the sherry casks add dark fruit, raisins, nuts and spice. Together they are described as giving ripe fruit, vanilla and spicy oak, with a soft, approachable character.
