This is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from Aberlour, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and first-fill American oak casks, which brings fruity, spicy sherried notes together with creamy vanilla.
The nose is aromatic, with cloves, cardamom and camphor, followed by toffee, milk chocolate and orange rind. The palate is full and creamy, with dark cherries, fudge and mocha, and a cool minty edge. The finish is fairly long, with honey and wood spice.
