Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask Matured is a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spends sixteen years in two kinds of cask, half in ex-bourbon and half in ex-sherry. The contents of the two are only married shortly before bottling. The colour is amber.
The nose is very fruity and floral, with dried fruit, vanilla and sweet caramel. The palate is very soft, with fine oak, floral notes, citrus fruit and sherry. The finish is long, spicy and sweet.
