Aberlour 16 is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by the double cask method: the whisky matures separately in ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry butts, with the aim of drawing the full range of aromas from the sherry wood rather than just a hint.
The nose has dried flowers and raisins with a nutty spice. The palate is soft and floral-sweet, with plum and oak, and the finish is long, warm and fruity.
