Aberlour 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% ABV after 16 years of ageing. It is matured in a double maturation, combining American oak ex-bourbon casks with sherry casks.
The nose offers ripe fruit, plum and grape, with caramel, hazelnut and gentle spice. On the palate it is soft and broad, with dried fruit, chocolate, vanilla and toasted wood, and a silky texture. The finish is long and warming, lightly spiced, with fruit and a lingering touch of wood.
