A 16 year old Aberlour single malt from Speyside, in a 70cl bottle. The barley is steeped in spring water, malted on the floor without peat and distilled twice, and the spirit then spends 16 years maturing in oak casks. Aberlour's labels carry oak and water, a nod to the druids who once lived in the valley. Spicy and enveloping in character, this whisky has a nose of vanilla, caramel and cream over ripe yellow fruit. Chocolate and raisins lead on the palate.
