Aberlour 16 Years is a Speyside whisky from the Aberlour distillery, aged for 16 years and presented in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in two stages, in American oak and ex-sherry casks, and has an old gold colour. Ripe fruit, sweet spice and a touch of chocolate lead the nose, with dried fruit and a thread of honey. The palate is soft but intense, with malt and a pinch of nutmeg. The finish is long, echoing vanilla and caramel.
