This Aberlour was distilled in 2013 and bottled at nine years old by Càrn Mòr, in its SLE series. It was matured in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 47.5% vol.
The release is limited to 1798 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is soft, fruity and sweet, with baking spices, soft leather and a touch of toasted oak. On the palate a slight sharpness typical of the distillery gives way to dark fruit such as plums and sultanas, with sherry notes, soft spice, some chocolate and malt. The finish is long, soft and sweet, with dark jam and dark chocolate fading slowly.
