Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 78 is a Scottish single malt from Aberlour, bottled at 60.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
A'bunadh is the distillery's sherry-influenced expression, without an age statement, and it is non-chill-filtered. Left to stand for a long time or chilled, it may turn cloudy, which is a sign of the oils the traditional approach keeps in.
At this strength the first impression on the nose is alcohol heat. Beyond it come caramelised sugar, caramel, hazelnut and warm baking spices.
Tasting Notes
Alcohol heat at first, then caramelised sugar, caramel, hazelnut and warm baking spices
