Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 79 is a cask strength single malt at 60.5% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. A'Bunadh means 'the original' in Gaelic, and each batch is different from the last.
It is matured exclusively in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and bottled non-chill-filtered, with no age statement.
The nose is deeply sherried, with mixed spices, praline and spiced orange. On the palate, orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger meet dark bitter chocolate, sherry and oak. The finish is long and spicy, with exotic spice, dark chocolate and oak.
