Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 85 is a Speyside single malt matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts. It is bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colour. This batch follows the house style, with rich dried fruit, Christmas cake spice, orange peel, dark chocolate and warming oak, and real depth on the palate. Batches vary slightly, though the generous, sherry-driven character stays constant. At this strength, a splash of water helps open it up.
