Aberlour – A'bunadh Cask Strength Sherry Cask (70cl, 60%)

Aberlour A'bunadh is a cask strength Speyside single malt made as a tribute to the distillery's founder, James Fleming. The name means 'the original' in Gaelic. It is produced in small batches and matured only in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, then bottled without chill filtration. The strength varies slightly from batch to batch, typically at around 60%. The nose combines spice, praline and spiced orange with deep sherry notes. On the palate come black cherries, dried fruit, ginger and dark chocolate, leading to a long, robust finish of exotic spices and oak.
