Aberlour – A'Bunadh Cask Strength (75cl)

Aberlour A'Bunadh is the cask strength malt from the Aberlour distillery in Speyside, released in numbered batches. The name is Gaelic for 'the original'. It is non-chill filtered, of natural colour and bottled without water reduction, so the strength varies from batch to batch, typically between 59% and 62%. All of the whisky matures in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, with no bourbon casks involved. The nose is rich, with Oloroso sherry, Seville orange, praline, dark cherry and ginger over vanilla. The palate brings dark chocolate, dried fig, spiced orange and black cherry jam with firm oak. The finish is very long and spiced, with dried fruit and bittersweet cocoa.
