This is batch 0009 of Aberlour's Casg Annamh series, a Speyside single malt bottled at 48%. It matured in American oak and in Oloroso sherry casks made from European oak. It is non-chill-filtered, has no added colour and is deep amber in the glass.
The nose brings raisins, oranges and cherries with a touch of ginger. On the palate come fruit, liquorice and ripe peaches with warm spices such as cloves and ginger. The finish is long and fruity, with a hint of dry spice.
