Aberlour Millennium Single Cask (70cl, 40%)

Built in 1879 the original distillery by the name Aberlour was lost in a fire. In 1945 the distillery was acquired by S. Campbell & Son and mainly produced as part of the blend for the popular (at the time) Clan Campbell and White Heather. The Sherry casked A’Bunadh which was launched in 1997 has greatly boosted the popularity of Aberlour to what we know it to be today. This is a special bottling for the millennium sold exclusively in the distillery to visitors. Once opened the aromas of malt, molasses, vanilla and egg whites, the palate is oak and vanilla with a medium long finish of oak ash, starch and vanilla.
