Achill Island Single Malt Bordeaux Red Wine Cask Finish is made from Irish malted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. It was matured on Achill Island in first fill Kentucky bourbon barrels, then finished in Bordeaux red wine casks. It is bottled at 44% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is gently floral, with vanilla and crème caramel. On the palate there are sultanas and soft summer fruits, with a raspberry tang, juicy strawberry and a gentle vanilla chai spice. Cinnamon and red fruit carry on into a creamy finish of medium to long length.
