Achill Island Single Malt Peated Cask Strength (70cl, 60%)

This is a peated single malt whiskey from Achill Island Distillery, bottled at a cask strength of 60% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled, matured and bottled on Achill Island, off the coast of County Mayo, and matured in casks with peat smoke influence. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. Sweet malt meets a restrained peat character, with caramel, creamy vanilla and hazelnut. In 2025 it won a silver medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition and was named best peated Irish whiskey at the Irish Whiskey Awards. The nose is gentle peat smoke. Sweet malt and caramel open the palate, followed by a fine smokiness, and the finish pairs herbal notes with smoke.
