This is Batch 2 of the Ardnamurchan single malt bottled by Adelphi, released as AD/01.21:01 in a 70cl bottle at 46.8% ABV. The outturn is 16,000 bottles.
The whisky was matured in 65% ex-bourbon casks and 35% sherry casks. The spirit is half peated and half unpeated. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings nutmeg, toffee apple, crème brûlée, Seville oranges, manuka honey and nougat, with saltwater and driftwood underneath. On the palate there is grapefruit marmalade, flamed orange peel, ripe pear and peach, followed by sweet soy, Sichuan pepper and a note of campfire.
