This is a Blair Athol single malt bottled by Adelphi for its Selection range. It was distilled in 2008, is sixteen years old and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fruity and bakery-sweet, with crisp apple skin, marzipan, bundt cake dusted with powdered sugar, plum Danish, golden raisin and pear liqueur. On the palate come peach-flavoured cereal rings, shaved almonds, toffee apples, cherry schnapps, a quenching lemon-lime note and parchment paper.
The finish is of medium length, bright, drying and moreish.
