This is a 24 year old single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, selected and bottled by Adelphi in 2022 at a cask strength of 56.2%. The whisky was distilled in 1998 and matured in a single refill Oloroso sherry gorda cask, which yielded 648 bottles. It is non-chill filtered.
On the nose it shows herbs, dark chocolate, jamón ibérico and star anise. The palate brings cigar box, rancio, dates and rye bread, with crème caramel, figs, demerara sugar and salted-caramel brownie. The finish is long, with toffee, licorice, blackcurrant, ginger and red currant jelly.
