Ailsa Bay Release 1.2 is a peated single malt from the Ailsa Bay distillery in the Lowlands, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was built in 2007 and belongs to the William Grant group, which uses most of its output in the group's blends.
The sweetness of this release comes from maturation in former bourbon casks. It sits alongside notes of local peat, formed from conifers and heather.
