A red wine from Alghero in Sardinia by Sella & Mosca, made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau. It has a powerful tannic structure balanced by fresh acidity. On the nose there are ripe red fruits such as cherry and blackberry, with spicy notes and a light touch of vanilla from ageing in French oak barriques. On the palate fruity and spicy sensations combine with elegant persistence, and the long, warm finish brings balsamic and light toasted notes. It suits rich dishes such as braised meats, stews and aged cheeses, and can also be served as an aperitif. Serve at about 18 C.
