This is an Añejo tequila from Alma del Jaguar, made from 100% agave and bottled at 44% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the Barricas Series.
The distinguishing feature is the cask. The tequila is aged in French oak that previously held Calvados from Normandy, which sets it apart from a standard Añejo. The oak brings a frame of cooked agave, French oak and sweet cinnamon-apple notes, echoing the apple and pear brandy of northern France.
