Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.1 (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan Edition No.1 is a blended malt from Nagahama Distillery in Japan, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The Amahagan series was created two years after distillation began at Nagahama in 2016, with the focus on blending ahead of a future single malt release. This edition blends Nagahama malt with overseas malt whisky, and the 47% strength was chosen to bring out its malty character. The nose is round and malty, with orange chocolate fruitiness and depth, wrapped in sweet vanilla. The palate opens with a rich attack, and the finish carries through the nose.
