Amahagan Edition No.3 is a world malt whisky from the Nagahama Distillery in Japan, finished in Mizunara wood. It is bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is light amber. The nose is sweet and complex, with malt sweetness from Nagahama new-make, orange and red apple, and as it opens the fragrant wood of the Mizunara shows, with caramel and sweet oak. The palate brings brown sugar and baked orange cake, followed by a gradual bitterness like dark chocolate. The finish is long, with crisp citrus, warm oak and dark chocolate bitterness.
