Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.4 Yamazakura Wood Finish (70cl, 47%)

A blend of malts from Nagahama distillery in Japan, Edition No.4 of the Amahagan World Malt Whisky series, finished in yamazakura wood and bottled at 47% ABV. Yama means mountains and sakura refers to cherry blossom trees, and the whisky is meant to bring that idea to the glass. Wild cherry blossom comes with hints of incense, orange peel and black honey. The nose is sweet and gentle, with cherry blossom and plum. The palate offers brown sugar and orange peel, and the finish is long, with a refreshing, tea-like astringency.
