Amaretto Mazzetti (3L)

An amaretto from Mazzetti, presented in a 3 litre Jeroboam and delivered in a box. The nose opens with warm almond and marzipan notes, followed by a thread of vanilla and vanillin, with a light spicy vein adding depth. On the palate it is round and enveloping, with well-measured sweetness and a soft texture that favours almond persistence over excess sugar. It is good served chilled or over ice, after a meal, with dry sweets and chocolate, or as a characterful element in cocktails.
