Amaro della Compagnia (70cl)

An amaro from Florio, founded in 1833 in Marsala, Sicily. It is an infusion of aromatic herbs, roots and citrus, with a dark amber colour. The nose is intensely aromatic, with bitter orange, bay leaf, rosemary, mint, liquorice and cinnamon. On the palate it is soft yet robust, with balanced sweetness and a pleasantly persistent bitter finish. It can be enjoyed neat as a digestif or used as a base for cocktails.
