American Highway Reserve is a straight bourbon created by the country artist Brad Paisley with the blending team at Bardstown Bourbon Co. in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
Batch 1 blends four rye-forward bourbons aged between 3 and 15 years. Before blending, barrels of it travelled 7,314 miles on a 53-foot trailer called the Rolling Rickhouse, towed behind Paisley's 2019 tour through 25 states.
The rye shows in baking spice and black pepper, set over caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, with the younger whiskeys keeping it bright.
