Ammunition Straight Rye is a blend of rye whiskeys aged 2, 3 and 4 years, in a 750ml bottle. It is finished for no less than three months in wine barrels that previously held several vintages of Ammunition Sonoma Pinot Noir, which adds sweetness and tannin to the rye.
The whiskey is dark amber in colour. Expect rich butterscotch and a hint of citrus on the palate, with subtle baking spice and red berries in the finish, which come from the Pinot Noir French oak casks.
