Ampersand Malus is a rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle, made in Kentucky and finished in Calvados casks from Normandy, France.
It blends 51% Kentucky Straight Rye with 49% Calvados-derived apple spirit, joining American rye spice with the orchard fruit of apple brandy.
The nose is crisp apple and pear with warm rye spice, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, baked apple, cider and dark toffee meet peppercorn and clove. The finish is long, warming and gently dry, with orchard fruit and oak lingering.
