Amrut – Naarangi Indian Single Malt Whiskey (75cl)

Naarangi is a single malt from the Amrut distillery in India, in a 750ml bottle. Its casks were first used for three years to hold a blend of oloroso sherry, matured wine and orange peel. A three-year-old single malt then spent a further three years in those casks, which gives the whisky its bright orange, citrus character. The nose brings lightly toasted oak, dry orange peel, rich sherry, chocolate, mint, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and a note of jute bag. On the palate come chocolate, cinnamon, oak, black pepper and ginger. The finish is extremely long and oily, with cinnamon.
